Exploring the Streets of Koramangala!

So Aaron and I are staying at a Hotel called the Grand Mercure.  It is located in the neighborhood of Koramangala.  Koramangala is in the south-east part of the city and one of the largest neighborhoods in Bangalore (yes that is from wikipedia).

But it is a pretty cool neighborhood.  There are lots of shops, restaurants and pubs and it still has lots of trees and garden/park areas.  It is however very busy!

I have been trying to take pictures as I walked around the past two days but there are so many cars and uneven walking paths it is hard to remember to take photos and walk!  Here is one of a street right by our hotel.

I was trying to capture the traffic here but didn't do a very good job!  But it is kind of a free for all as far as lanes, when to turn in to traffic and when to cross the street!

The one thing that I can't get used to is seeing cows everywhere!  I always point them out to Aaron and he is like yea they live here!  Our driver told us that they usually belong to families and wander during the day and then the families use them for milking.  Not sure if this cow belonged at the house or if he was just exploring the neighborhood too!

That's all for today!  It was really hot walking around so I think I will head to the pool for a bit and cool off!

Welcome to Bangalore!

We have finally both made it to Bangalore!  It has been a long few months of packing, organizing and awaiting visas but are finally together and settled at our hotel.

I am still getting adjusted to the time change among many other things but Aaron has been awesome with helping keep me awake until at least 10pm and taking excellent care of me!

Aaron and I have been taking walks to discover restaurants and shops around our neighborhood and it is an adventure heading out.  There is always a lot of action on the streets and we get a little turned around every now and then but thank God for Google Maps!

Last night we went to dinner with Aaron's co-workers and had a big Indian feast.  It was delicious!  The dinner was at The Hotel Leela which was fabulous. We forgot to take pictures but this is one from the hotel itself.
It was just amazing to see!

Today Aaron is at work and I am going to attempt to venture out on my own but might wait until my phone is working here!

We miss everyone back home and will post more pictures soon!
